Really!?
OK, maybe I've just missed it and if I have someone please tell me
where it is, but I'm dumbfounded that Xcode still doesn't have a
simple "View as array..." option in its debugger.
I totally agree. It should've been in 1.0. I submitted radar://
3539888 in January of 2004, asking for these items to be added to
the variable contextual menu:
View Memory (since been added or improved)
View as Array
C String
Pascal String
Unicode String
The 3 string types are important when you're looking at a chunk of
data that has string data in them somewhere. I'd now extend this to
UTF_8, UTF_16, and UTF_32 to cover all the bases.
Have you updated your bug report with this additional information?
Well, I've entered my own bug related to this and would suggest that
anyone else who wants this functionality do so as well.
