Hi Chris,
thanks for that piece of information. This was exactly what i was
looking for.
It does work for a "regular" checkout!
I would be very happy to get rid of my former stand alone svn-gui and
XCode looks very
promising here.
Unfortunately it does not work like expected in a special scenario.
It seems to have some problems if the working copy is set up using the
svn:externals property mechanism.
Folders that are linked into the working copy with the svn:external
approach would show up properly in the "SCM Results"
view. If you make modifications to a file that is part of an external
it will be properly shown as modified in the Results view.
BUT if you perform an "Refresh entire project" all modified files
disappear. As a result it is no longer possible to see which
files are modified...a kind of dangerous thing.
Is this something that has to be set up in a special way to work in
XCode3 or are svn:externals not supported (yet) or is this a
bug to be radared?
(when performing a "svn status <working copy path>" on the command
line all modified files that are linked in via svn:externals are shown
properly)
Thanks,
Michael
By the way: Maybe i am blind but i do not find the place where to
specifiy the location of the svn client.
Did it move or is it no longer possible/necessary to do this. Does
this mean XCode brings it´s own svn client?

Hi all,
when setting up SVN in XCode 3 i specify the repository root and
activate svn for one project that was
checked out before.
As a result i will see all modified/new/delete files on the path
level of the project file and below.
What i would like to see is all modified/new/deleted files on the
level of the working copy root, which is two or three
levels ABOVE the project file.
I tried to enter the path to that level in the SCM repository
settings but assume this is the wrong way because at that
place always the repository root is expected ?!
Is there a way to achieve this?
Xcode > Project > Edit Project Settings > General tab > Project Root
setting
Click "Choose" and navigate to the top-level folder for your
project. That will set the root folder for all project operations:
refactoring, project find and replace, project snapshots, and
project SCM.
