From memberd's man page on Tiger:
memberd is a daemon process used by the system to resolve group
memberships.
The -r option flushes it's cache. If the leopard replacement is well
designed, there's no replacement needed. The catch-all-cache-problems-
solution would be a reboot.
Bear in mind, please, that I'm just a newbie trying to set up
version control using Subversion under Xcode 3.0. This is the first
time I'm attempting to set up version control, and I have no idea
of what I'm doing: I'm just following orders!
If Xcode 3 is still as feature incomplete as earlier versions, I'd
recommend to read and exercise the first few chapters of svn's
handbook <http://svnbook.red-bean.com/> before trying to use it from
inside Xcode.
