Well, the question asked here was simplified in order to highlight the
problem. The real motivation behind it was try to compare weak link vs
run time binding ( e.g.: NSLookupAndBindSymbolWithHint() ), and to
determine which way is better in context of
backward (or even forward) compatibility across Max OS versions. The
later one seems to be more flexible, whereas the former one is concise
and more elegant.
