Reading the sal error log (see below) , the issue seems to be
caused by libstlport ( OpenOfffice.org builds it's own patched
version). And the point is : * _sinl is not found *.
I just remembered. I don't think the sinl function is available at
all on Panther.
It's the long double version of the sin function. If I remember
correctly, long double support was introduced with Tiger
