I'm trying to modify one of my applications that uses a third-party
NSBox subclass called BSRoundedBox. Unfortunately, I used it as an
Interface Builder plugin throughout my nibs and now they won't open
under IB 3.0 (the plugin is for IB 2.x). I need to make some
changes quickly to MoneyWell for the 1.1 release but this is
stopping me (foolishly, I only checked that it compiled and ran
properly under Leopard's Xcode).
You should be able to use your unmodified nib, or if you need to
modify it, take it back to Interface Builder 2 on a Tiger machine.
Thanks, I didn't touch the nibs yet (mainly because IB 3.0 wouldn't
open them).
I can't find an install for IB 2.5 that will run under Leopard. Is
anyone doing this successfully? Where do I get the correct install?
Xcode 2.5 has the Interface Builder 2.5 that runs on Leopard. It
was released just an hour or so ago.
Ah, I see it now. Thank you very much!
Another option is to update the plugin to work under IB 3.0, but
I've had trouble figuring out how I should do that. I'll take help
with either path if you have it. Thanks!
That's a bigger job, as the IB3.0 plugin architecture has changed
substantially.
Yes, I found that out. Especially for someone who never created a
plugin before. I'll tackle that another day (or just transition my
users to Leopard and use the cool new built-ins!).
Peace,
