A short while ago, someone on this list provided me with a data
formatter bundle for viewing wstrings and wchar_t's. This worked
great in Xcode 2.4.1, but I can't get it to work at all in Xcode 3.
- the data formatter bundle is in ~/Library/Application Support/
Developer Tools/CustomDataViews. (I also tried putting it in /
Library/Application Support/Developer Tools/CustomDataViews -- which
I had to create, Xcode didn't create it itself -- with no luck.)
The path for data formatters is now ~/Library/Application Support/
Developer/Shared/Xcode/CustomDataViews/ (or the equivalent path
through /Library). If you want to install different data formatters
for Xcode 2.5 and 3.0, you can install them in ~/Library/Application
Support/Developer/3.0/Xcode/CustomDataViews instead (for Xcode 3.0;
2.5 for Xcode 2.5), though be aware that putting them in a version-
specific directory will prevent them from being automatically picked
up by future releases as well.
