command-line test for 64-bit hardware?

  • Subject: command-line test for 64-bit hardware?

Is there an easy way using the command line to distinguish between Intel Core and
Core 2 processors on Tiger? I want to use autoconf to configure my makefiles for
a 64-bit build on Core 2 systems, but the usual config.guess and uname commands
do not make any distinction.
