Using .sdk files in different XCode versions

Hi,
I need to debug some code in 10.3, and so wanting using XCode 1.5, but as
the code is usually built with XCode 2.x as requiring to universal.

So to get a around this I have the old xcode 1.5 project file, which is
fine but the code will not build are requiring header's / definitions from
universal 10.4 sdk, but as that is not available to XCode 1.5.

Can I just point my project at XCode 2.x MacOSX10.4.u.sdk ?, as I do build
code with GCC_Version 3.3 ?

or is this not a good idea ? - I thought I ask first, as another option is
try the remote debugging but I never had any luck with that.

Thanks
Mark.
