Hello,
I'm new to Xcode and Cocoa. I've built an application which
incorporates libpng and the OpenGL framework on an old 10.3 machine
with Xcode 1.5. The app runs fine on my machine, but fails on a
friend's Intel MacBook, I assume it's because it's not a universal
binary and/or because libpng was linked non-statically and the 10.4
machine doesn't have it, and/or gcc 3 doesn't make the right bits.
When launched in the Finder, there is no feedback, but when started in
Terminal, I get a message something like "can't find image".
I know that Xcode 2.x produces universal binaries (which I would use
if I had 10.4), but I'm curious if Xcode 1.5 is able to produce
anything that can run under Rosetta on i386 hardware or is it simply
too old? I've also produced a non-Cocoa command line version, so it
would be interesting also to know if that should run under 10.4.
Thanks!
,
JF
