Others have already mentioned the steps you need to take (and the comprehensive documentation for) building Universal, but this problem isn't a result of any of that.  You probably have a stray "-install_name" compiler flag in your Target or Project build settings, most likely in the "Other C Flags" build setting.  The Install Name is something that Xcode provides automatically, so providing it manually can create errors; find where you set it and remove that setting.
