And "large" doesn't have to be all that large, either.
Both operands can be valid double numbers.
All that's needed is a difference in magnitude that exceeds the precision
of a double, so that N+M is identical to N or M. Zillions of randomly
chosen numbers, all of them perfectly valid, will meet that criterion. I
think, e.g. 6.023e23 and 42.
