That has not been my experience. And of course, there is nothing like
debugging memory problems with a tool that causes new problems. :)
In any case, though I didn't quote it, Shawn explicitly said he has "an
application that makes heavy use of threads" and "at least two threads
attempting to 'new' memory". In my experience, those conditions make
the MallocStackLogging bug likely. In Shawn's case, I think
MallocStackLogging really will exacerbate his problems.
