zerolink bug in Xcode 2.5?

  • Thread-topic: zerolink bug in Xcode 2.5?

I'm more looking for confirmation of this than anything else, I've found
that building a release build 'solves' the problem...

I'm trying to unravel a large pile spaghetti code, and I'm doing it by
pruning away all .cpp and .c files files that don't have symbols linked into
my main. I thought I was doing pretty well on my debug builds, as all the
symbols were found, and the builder kept succeeding... and then I tried
running the resulting application. Immediate sigabort due to missing
symbols. I've double checked, and Zerolink is off in the debug builds (I
manually checked, then unchecked the box, so it is OFF). So, my question
is, is this a known bug? Is there a way of forcing Zerolink off in debug
builds, or should I just stick to release builds?

BTW, I'm stuck with 10.4 for a while longer, so moving to Xcode 3.0 is not
an option.

Thanks,
Cem Karan
