Renaming a GUI controller class

I needed to rename my GUI controller class, so I changed the class name within the .h and .m files in Xcode and in IB I changed the "Class Identity" to the new name. So far so good but I coulnd't change the IB "Identity Name" at the bottom of the Inspector pane. Its stuck on the original name and when I try typing in the field to change it I get a beep. Doing the IB menu "Syncronize with Xcode" has no effect. Nor does restarting IB.

What is the correct procedure for for doing this? I really dont want to loose all my connections and have to hook everything up all over again. Xcode 3.0.

Russ
