I appreciate the advice, but is has been to no avail. I ran Keychain
First Aid and it found no errors. I trashed the passwords in Keychain
for the repository and tried over from scratch. Xcode 3.0 still
forgets the passwords between launches. Everything I launch Xcode
again, the repository information is intact except the password, which
is gone.
Frustrated, still seeking solid advice on this issue.
Thank you.

Hi,
I had similar trouble. XCode uses the keychain to store the SCM
password.
Try running Keychain First Aid (Keychain Access app, menu item in
Keychain
Access menu). I removed the XCode key first.
It fixed a keychain permissions problem for me, and now my password
stays
across XCode launches.
I also found an XCode password error in my Console:
4/3/08 2:47:38 PM Xcode[20214] SecKeychainAddGenericPassword returned:
-25293
Unknown how the problem came about, or why the XCode password that
was in my
keychain went bad. Perhaps related to trying XCode 3.1 that came
with the
iPhone SDK, which I had installed over XCode 3.0.
I had to check out fresh (SVN) sources to get XCode to track changes
reliably again.

I have set up access to subversion repositories in Xcode 3 and it
works most of the time. However, occasionally, upon opening a
project I get an error that the repository cannot be accessed. When
I inspect the SCM settings, I discover that the password field is
blank. So I reenter the password and it validates again. Then it's
good to go a for a while until the same error occurs again, maybe a
few days later.
