Check to see if your documentation needs to be updated.

The situation is this:

If Xcode can't find a local version of a reference page, it asks your browser to open the equivalent page on the developer website. As documentation sets grow in number and size, it has become advantageous to ship some doc sets in 'skeletal' form. That is, the doc set has full indexes and some primary pages but no reference pages. You can still search the doc, but when you click a result, Xcode sends you to Safari and the web. To display search result pages in Xcode's doc window, you need to make sure the pages are installed locally. By updating the doc set, the latest reference pages (and indexes) will be installed locally for you.

To update your documentation:

- Open Xcode's documentation window.
- Make sure you are subscribed to the relevant documentation feed(s): If you see a Subscribe button next to the feed, click it.
- If there's an update available you should see a Get button appear. Click it.

(You can also force an update check by clicking the gear button at the bottom left of the doc window, and choosing "Documentation Set Updates > Check Now").

BTW: The problem with the Back button eventually sending you to Safari is an unrelated issue and has been fixed for the next release of Xcode.

Hello everyone!
When I do a search in the Xcode(3.1 beta) documentation window and click on a topic in the returned list, instead of displaying the information in the content window a new Safari window opens?? Is there a setting somewhere that specifies where to open the reference docs?
