(I'm not an expert, but) the Never/Never setting would not open the window when errors or warnings were generated which I believe you said your problem was. It also would not close the window either.

The On Errors/On Success setting opens on errors, but not warnings, and then closes it if neither errors nor warnings are generated.

It is just a control of the window opening and closing. But it works well for me.

Hmmm. Mine was set to Never/Never. Also does that control whether errors/warnings/both are shown, or just whether the results window is open?

Hi Bob,

There a preference setting for that.

Preferences... / Building tab / Build Results Window:
    Open during builds: On Errors
    Close after builds: On Success

Hey is there any way for Xcode to show only your errors automatically when it compiles, not the warnings also? I keep having to hit that tiny red X...

Thanks
