"Compile" menu button disabled for some files

Hello,

Some of my .c files disable the "Compile" menu item when I open them. I have to select them in the project window list and then choose compile. Even a full clean of all files failed to fix this.

Has anybody else experienced this or know of a fix? I'm running latest version 3.0 of xcode.
