Provisioning Profile

  • Subject: Provisioning Profile

Although I am doing iPhone development, I see the following as an Xcode problem (or my misunderstanding of Xcode), hence not a violation of the NDA.

I have written an app for the iPhone. It's almost done and runs well on the simulator. I have gone through all the steps in the Developer Program User Guide up to page 19. I think I have all the pieces in the right places, but when I try to do what is described on page 20, "Select your Development Provisioning Profile from the ‘Code Signing Provisioning Profile’ setting." I find my name as "iPhone Developer David Rowland", but it is greyed out and there is no Provisioning Profile below it. I have installed one, and I see it under "Projects and Sources" in the Organizer window.

Any idea what is wrong? I have probably overlooked something, but I haven't a clue about what.

thanks,

David
