Xcode 3.1.2 refuses to add localizations

  • Subject: Xcode 3.1.2 refuses to add localizations

Hi List,

I have an Xcode project (Cocoa touch) with one localization (en, .strings and .xib files are all localizable) and I simply cannot add new localizations. When I go into "Get Info" for a .strings or .xib file I see the list of localizations listing only "en". When I click add, enter "fr" and click OK nothing happens.

Now I got "creative", removed all localizations (effectively removing the file from the project), making it localizable again (I got a localization with name "English", not "en"), added "en" which worked and added "fr" which worked too. Now I removed "English" and tried to add "de". Guess what? It doesn't work.

How am I supposed to maintain a project in accordance to the guidelines (read: using language codes instead of language names) when I cannot add localizations that way?

Am I doing something wrong?

Regards
Markus
