Do you still have the untouched troublesome plist? It would make for a great bug report.

So the gist of the problem was a dead gdb console in Xcode 3.1

Reinstalled Xcode to no effect.
All that was left to be at fault was either the project settings or the Xcode preferences in com.apple.xcode.plist.
Trashed the Xcode plist and gdb console functionality was restored.

I did a bit of poking in the old troublesome plist, hacking out anything with debug in the key name, but to no effect.

So solved, but still stupid.

Hello list

On XCode 3.1 I am having real trouble getting xcode/gdb to print out object representations.
Context menu item "Print description to console" produces a message such as "Printing a description of X" and nothing more.
And the integrated gdb console is dead.
The gdb prompt appears but responds to no input. So I cannot po my objects or otherwise interact with gdb at the console.

I can po when running gdb at the command line,

I did an in-place upgrade from Xcode 3.0 to 3.1 some time ago.

Any ideas?
