Well, to get this right (that is, to avoid having to go back and fix the initially-created files), the answer has to be "Yes."


I have a compromise suggestion ...

In the "New Project" dialog (where you choose the project template), also show a list of address book entries, perhaps defaulting to the "me" entry.

Those of us who have different copyright notices in different projects can create special-purpose address book entries for each, and just choose from the list when creating a new project.

In that case, it would be nice to use the name in the chosen address book entry for the "created by" substitution too.

Personally, I prefer Andy Lee's suggestion of managing it entirely in Xcode, but if you're set on using the address book, then at least let us choose which entry to use.
