Buttons in IB not displaying images

Namaste!
Ever since upgrading to XCode 3.1.2, my buttons in my window toolbars don't
display their respective images until I edit the toolbar (cause it to drop
down for editing at the minimum). During execution that isn't a problem.
In other words, in any NIB in which I have a window that has a toolbar, when
I bring up that NIB in IB, then open the window, the toolbar shows the
custom button icon (blue-backgrounded question mark), but not the image I've
set. When I drop the toolbar for editing, this is resolved.
I am wondering if my NIBs got damaged somehow, or that is an indicator of
some other issue.
Is there a fix for this?
