I am brand new to iphone app development and have a basic question that I was unable to find an answer to in the archives. I am not sure if this is the right list to post the question to or not so forgive me if it is not. Here are my questions.

1. Are there any ramifications to using my own personal iphone as a development tool?

From my own experience, none

2. My phone is a 2G. Will anything I develop on it run exactly the same on a 3G?

It should, assuming you have the same version of the OS on both.

3. Is it possible to hose the iphone so badly during debug, that it is not possible to recover?

very unlikely, but iTunes should have everything backed up, so you can rebuild.

4. If I do purchase a 3G to do my development on, do I need to activate that one with a phone company in order to use it for development (which would mean I would then have 2 active iphones)?

I believe that is true. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored. Xcode-users mailing list (email@hidden) Help/Unsubscribe/Update your Subscription: This email sent to email@hidden
