XCode and application crashes

  • Subject: XCode and application crashes

I have got an application project using XCode. If I am compiling and running the program (using "Build and Go") in debug mode I get the message from GDB that the program is running. If the program crashes (should not happen but happens) GDB displays the message that it is loading the source. But actually GDB never stops loading.
If I than stop GDB by pressing the "stop" icon in the toolbar, GDB stops debugging but my crashed program's thread is still running. And the most annoying thing is that I even cannot kill the thread. If I start the program using "Debug" GDB shows me the location where the crash occured.
Any hints what causes this problem? This problem always occurs (unless I write bug free programs).

Hartwig
