Is there any way to tell Xcode how to handle tabs differently in:
a) Files not associated with any particular project
b) Files associated with a particular project (where one project
does it one way, and another does it differently)
Basically, I want my own projects to insert hard tab characters and
use 4-column tab stops, and I want my work projects to use soft 4-
char tabs and 8-character hard tab stops.
You can set the values on a per-file or per-group basis within a
project. And you can select all the groups at once and do a Get Info
to change them all at once. So, no, there's no way to set them per-
project, but the workaround is not very hard.
