David,
Have you customized your menus at all (though I think all you can
change is their key bindings)?
i don't believe i have customized it.
i just installed the software. the only change i have made is in
preferences : general : layout.
i made it all-in-one.
so how do i get the Close Project item back in the menu.
Fritz had what thought was the perfect solution, but you say you see
the Close Project item. When i do as Fritz suggested the Close Window
does change to Close Project.
Thanks,
g.

is "Close Project" missing from the menu or do i have a problem and
need to install XCode again. i'm using Xcode Version 3.0, Xcode
IDE: 921.0, Xcode Core: 921.0, ToolSupport: 893.0.
so, as far as i can tell the only way to close a project is to
close the project window, right?
That's how I always close it, but there is in fact a File > Close
Project menu item.
