Stop hurting your file system. I read the source code.
The first item is always the "default" reference style,
and it's always selected, there is no code path that
makes any other choice "sticky."
And "default" means as I said before: if the item can
be found inside the group it's being added to, it's
relative to that group;
if it's outside the group, it's absolute path.
I'm not sure how this could an issue. It really seems
something specific to my user account and the project...
Its only when I add files from my user account to this
specific project...
Uh, what method do you use to add the existing files to the project?

However, sometimes I forget to and leave it at "Default"
