A very simple question: I tried to create a new project in Xcode
3.0,
but I couldn't find the project builder that I needed (SDL/
OpenGL). Is
this under some other name? Do I need to use another one and modify
it? Can I create my own? (sorry, I don't know exactly what it's
called, it's the things on the list that shows up when you click
"New
Project")
In the SDL installation there's a folder called Xcode/
TemplatesForXcode. You
can copy, alias or symlink it to your login's <~/Library/Application
Support/Apple/Developer Tools/Project Templates> folder and restart
Xcode to
see them populated in the new projects list.
Ok, so I thought I had this fixed, but for some reason, it doesn't
show up now. I did exactly what you told me to do, but it won't show
up. Do I have to somehow alter the contents of the folder or
something?
You should probably take this to an SDL forum or website, such as http://www.meandmark.com/sdlopenglpart2.html
for help. This has more to do with the configuration of the SDL
distro for Xcode than with Xcode itself, and most of the people here
won't know much about that project or those templates for it.
As for creating your own templates, check out http://hogbaysoftware.com/products/xcodetemplatefactory/
for help. It presumes that you have an Xcode project that builds
and links, though.
