Xib localization

  • Subject: Xib localization

Hello,

I have a problem with localization workflow in Leopard project with xib files.

Actually, I work like this:
- Generate the application with one language.
- I drop my application in a localization tool (iLocalize) that extract all strings from strings files and nib files (using nibtool or ibtool in Leopard).
- I translate the extracted strings and iLocalize reinject them into the application (in a new .lproj folder) and generate a multi language application.

But in Xcode 3, ibtool says that it cannot extract strings from a compiled xib file (a flat nib file), so i cannot localize the generated application.

Did someone know a localization workflow (and tools) that works with 'xib file based' projects, or is there a way to generate localizable nib file from a xib file?
