What you're missing is that it is perfectly possible to drag the column
boundaries - though not quite as in the old days, since you have to select
the table header in order to do it, which requires clicking twice. This
whole business where multiple successive clicks drill down into a view's
subviews is really quite splendid once you get the hang of it. If you really
can't quite get the gesture right, send me an email privately and I'll make
you a little movie showing how to do it. However, I suspect that now that
I've told you it is possible, you'll go back and try it again and realize
that it was actually quite easy all along. m.
