When I try to restore from a snapshot I get this alert:

Marc,
Before you restore from a snapshot a new snapshot is automatically
generated (this in order to allow you to restore back to your pre-
restore state). The error you see is probably from that pre-restore
snapshot operation.
I don't know why you get this error, and it's unfortunate that Xcode
doesn't report the path(s) to the problematic file(s) together with
the error message.
As a last resort you should be able to mount the disk image and copy
over your files in the Finder. Once you have restored your files in
that way you might want to move aside the problematic
SnapshotRepository.sparseimage, allowing Xcode to create a new empty
Snapshot repository for you.
Please file a bug report with Apple on this problem! If possible,
please include a recursive listing of the contents of both the
original and the restored project folders, including file system
permissions and attributes for each contained file, file package and
folder. If you can't provide file listings, please diff the two
folders yourself and see if you can spot anything suspicious (like if
you have an item foo/bar in both copies of the project, but where
"bar" is a folder in one copy and a file in the other).
Good luck,
j o a r
