Having run the experiment last week setting up a new machine for a
client, it appears that the Xcode 2.5 installer doesn't install all
the right bits when installing on Leopard -- you also need to have
Xcode 3.0 installed, or things don't work right.
(There may be a way to getting it to work, but if both are
installed, everything works, so I didn't waste much time on
debugging Xcode 2.5 alone)
If you need to use gcc 3.3, this is true, since only the Xcode 3.0
developer tools have the option of installing gcc 3.3.
