recursive header search path bug

I wasted most of my day tracking down an Xcode 3.0 bug
(<rdar://5716723>), which I couldn't find mentioned in the list archive,
so I thought I'd describe it here.
Say you've defined a source tree, call it "Tree", that points to a
folder with this structure:
Tree
1234567890
proj.xcodeproj
source.cpp
abcdef
abc
header.h
Suppose that the project defines a recursive user header search path:
$(Tree)/abcdef/**
And assume that source.cpp contains #include "header.h".
Then when you try to build, Xcode will say it can't find header.h. And
here's the really weird part: If you change the length of any of the
folder names "1234567890", "abcdef", "abc", the error goes away.
