I've seen the collect2 error before, but a Clean All and rebuild makes it go away or morph into a different error. So yes I've seen these kinds of problems, but no it wasn't a showstopper. Clean All is your friend.

It won't even fail consistently, so I can't really file a bug on it without some consistent steps to reproduce it.
