To make sure you have the latest update information, refresh your documentation feeds by selecting Documentation Set Updates > Check Now in the Xcode documentation window's action menu.

Did you try this? It ensures the RSS feeds are up to date (though it shouldn't be necessary in more recent Betas).

If that doesn't work, make sure the keychain has a valid login for your ADC membership and that it is the membership account that was used for the iPhone sign-up -- in Keychain Access, check the connect.apple.com entry.

If that doesn't work, then run Xcode from Terminal using this debug mode, and file a bug with the results:

  /Developer/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/MacOS/Xcode -DocSetDebug 1

I recently downloaded and installed the latest iPhone SDK. The version of Xcode is 3.1. This is probably a configuration issue but the Xcode documentation that I have does not match the program. The Preferences/Documentation pane does not allow URL references.
