Tab key doesn't tab any more

Something strange and annoying has happened in the XCode UI -- when I try to tab from one field to the next in any dialog, it inserts a tab instead of jumping to the next field.  This is really infuriating when doing a find/replace.  Anybody have any ideas how this might have happened?  I haven't created a key binding for the tab key as far as I can tell.

I'm using XCode 3.0.
