Xcode 3 has this new behavior where it remembers how you ran the program last time (with or without gdb) and runs it the same way the next time if you choose the Run > Go command (which is the default key binding for Cmd-R.) To explicitly run the program without gdb, choose Run > Run, or Build > Build And Run.


(If you don't like this behavior, you can do what I did: change your key bindings so Cmd-R invokes Build And Run and Cmd-Y invokes Build And Debug. That will make those commands work the way they used to.)
