Not quite sure how to go about testing what is going on with it though.


Use one of our many great sampling tools (Instruments, Shark, sample, Activity Monitor, et.c.) and grab a sample of Xcode when you reproduce this new slower behaviour. Attach the resulting report to a new bug report:

(If you're using Shark, you should be using the "Time Profile (All Thread States)" configuration, to include blocked threads).
