Novice `leaks` question if you please. We believe we have a mem leak in an app here in the office. The 'leaks' manpage mentions "If the environment variable "MallocStackLogging" is set when the inspected program is started, leaks ..." How do I set this? Is it to be included in my Makefile?

Note that you would probably benefit from using Instruments, and not leaks, if you're troubleshooting memory leaks on Mac OS X 10.5 or later!

My experience of turing on MallocStackLogging is that although it's invaluable for finding leaks, it's also likely to make your application crash. I seem to remember some threads here in the past about it not being threadsafe.
