This is amusing each time this comes up here, or on any other
list. Or realted things that come up EVERY SINGLE YEAR about WWDC
discussions on student-dev. It seems there's only 1 thing to do:
1) Everyone here buy 1 (one) share of Apple stock.
2) Go to the shareholder meeting.
3) ???? Shareholder revolt? (basically one word: pray)xc
The only reaonably solution (which borders on paradox) is that
there *is* a solution to the the "no NDA list" problem, but it's
under NDA, so that's why neither I nor anyone else know about it.
Either that, or specifically with reference to the "SDK-that-must-
not-be-name", ask Apple WHEN a "non-beta" version will be available.
I wonder, if this goes on for .... time, does it start to affect the
viability of the platform? Or at least affect the viability in terms
of the nebulous "opportunity cost" that could be theoretically posed
- what *might* have happened (or happened quicker) if developers who
had x problem had been able to discuss this stuff openly on some
closed list.
The other easy solution is to just make Apple Mailing List
membership subject to the same NDA as the SDK-that-must-not-be-named..
