Nib vs. Xib in documentation and discussions

OK, it looks like Xcode 3.1 has gone to the xib format as default instead of the nib format. My questions are:

(1) Will all future documentation refer to XIB files and deprecate the use of NIB over time?

(2) How do I pronounce XIB when I am talking to someone about Cocoa development? Is it pronounced "zib" files?

Todd
