Sure, xib = zip. ROTFL.
So how does the Apple crew pronounce .zip? -> "bip"?
(Read X as Z, x->(y)->z, read z->(a)->b ...)
As English is NOT my native language, I would always prefer "ksip" or
"ex-ib" like suggested in this thread.

"ex-ib". Pronouncing it "zib" (as you would for xylophone) would give
a listener the impression that it's spelled "zib". Just as you use the
word xray in the military for the letter x.
