Using 3.1.
It doesn't reload if I don't switch to another application. Jens' workaround will help, but it's annoying that I need to do it after each build. Maybe I'll send a bug about it.

It does for me. I'm often editing files with Araxis Merge, and when I switch back to Xcode, they are auto-updated. I'm using 3.1, you?
I think I've run into this issue myself … Xcode does recognize when a file's been modified externally, but I think it only checks when you switch back to Xcode from another app. This makes sense if you were editing the file in another app, but if the file was modified by a tool invoked from Xcode itself, it won't notice.
IIRC, you can work around this by switching to another app and then back to Xcode. Pressing Command-Tab twice will do this, for example.
