I've waited to see if any real issues popped up with 10.5.3 until today and now that I've upgraded, I'm in some trouble. I've got projects that only compile up under Xcode 2.5 and haven't been moved over to work well in Xcode 3. Now, attempting to launch Xcode 2.5, which has been running just fine until now, comes up with "You cannot use this version of the application Xcode with this version of Mac OS X."
What's happened here? Nowhere in the 10.5.3 notes did I see anything about Xcode:
Is anyone running 2.5 under 10.5.3 or am I SOL? We saw this internally when we accidently used a pre-release version of Xcode 2.5 on Mac OS X 10.5.3.
Are you using an Xcode 2.5 that came from a pre-release seed?
Even if you're not, to be sure, you may want to download Xcode 2.5 from Apple's developer web site, uninstall 2.5 on your machine (see the ReadMe that came with Xcode to find out how to do that), and then reinstall Xcode 2.5.
Please read the ReadMe thoroughly. In some cases, you'll want to also install Xcode 3.0 for certain kinds of functionality.
