Hi Chris,
If you let me know what the problem is in more detail, I will try to get
it fixed in the fink packages.
The copystrings scripts could also either sanitize its PATH, or exec
'/usr/bin/iconv' instead of plain 'iconv'

Looking at the script (although not from the latest beta/sdk):
Make sure you have /usr/bin/ruby, /usr/bin/plutil, /usr/bin/iconv and
that /usr/bin is at the head of your PATH.
