Dumb gdb question

I know one can call gdb from the command-line - does it have a 'disassemble' mode (for either PPC/Intel), or a hex dump mode? If not, is there a unix tool to do it? I could roll my own, but I'd just as soon use a built-in one if present. Running this on 10.5.3 on Intel iMac, FWIW.
