I have a problem of setting the correct font for chinese localize NIB
files. The problem starts when the NIB files were sent to a translator
for localizing english into both simplified and traditional chinese. I
suppose the translator is not familiar with Mac, probably copy and
paste text from text editor or word into the control fields. The text
end up as mix of both bold and regular and also different type of
fonts. Texts looks rather odd, not uniform as whole.
Here is a picture of the text,

My job now is to change all text font type back to a standard system
font. So I do an experiment on IB, create a new NIB file. Next key in
chinese character and copy & paste the text into TextEdit.app. The
text font in TextEdit end up on my G4 + Leopard as STHeiti Light.
However the same experiment when tested on different machines iMac
Intel + Tiger and another G4 + Tiger, all end up with different fonts.
I am rather confused why the difference. As a general rule what is the
standard font for controls on NIB files ? Which font should I used in
this case ?
BTW I am using Xcode 2.5.
Peter.
