I'm attempting to use a remote SVN repository. I have it set up in the repositories list using the appropriate URL. At the bottom of the Subversion Settings pane it has "Host Offline", but, interestingly enough, I can browse the repository, check out things, etc. I have a project in the repository that's set to use this repository. The problem is that most of Xcode (the project panes, the SCM menu, etc., seems to think that the repository is unavailable for some reason. But in the Repositories window I can select it and browse, checkout, etc. Also, I can do everything from the command line.

Guessing at what you mean by "seems to think that the repository is unavailable," and assuming you're using the current released Xcode (3.0)...

Getting SCM support for an Xcode project is a two-step process. First, you have to make Xcode aware of the repository, in the SCM pane of the Preferences window. You seem to have dome this, if (as I gather) you can browse your repository from within Xcode.

Second, you have to associate the project in question with a repository from the SCM pane. Project -> Edit Project Settings -> General tab -> SCM Repository: near the end of the window. Choose your repository. Come back to the list if that doesn't produce results, or Xcode doesn't permit your choice.

Control- (right-) click on the header of the Groups and Files list in the project window to pop up a menu; select "SCM" to add an SCM status column to the list.
